Stafford Loan Processing
To receive a Federal Stafford loan at The University of Montana - Western, you must be able to answer YES to ALL of the following questions:
- Have you been accepted into an eligible degree program at Western?
- Have you applied for federal financial aid through the FAFSA form? Has it been processed and the results received at Western?
- Has your financial aid award letter been sent to you for the 2008-2009 school year?
- Have you been awarded a Federal Stafford student loan for the 2008-2009 school year?
- Are you a first-time loan borrower at Western? If so, you must complete Loan Entrance Counseling before any loan proceeds will be disbursed. To satisfy this requirement, go to http://www.mappingyourfuture.org/
If you meet all the conditions mentioned above, you can now click on the link below and apply for a Federal Stafford Loan on-line.
