The University of Montana-Western will undertake systematic academic program review on a seven-year cycle (consistent with BOR policy 303-3-Program Review, revised May 20, 2005). What follows is the schedule for the initial reviews in each department. This schedule compresses the initial reviews of all departments into a five year period, with subsequent reviews being done on the seven year cycle. This cycle was agreed to by the A&S chairs last spring and was incorporated into Western’s NWCCU 2005 interim report.

 

Discussion has already occurred, at the department chair level about the process. A document outlining a potential process was also distributed to and discussed by the chairs during AY 2004-05.

 

Additionally, the above-referenced program review document and one developed by a sub-committee of the Faculty Senate will be discussed at the Senate meeting on September 26^th.
