
The Mission of the Carson Library
The mission of the Lucy Carson Library of The University of Montana-Western is to meet the informational, educational, cultural, and recreational needs of the community of users. This is done by developing an organized collection and list of services relevant to the college's mission and the campus curriculum. Policies and procedures exist to ensure the freedom of access to and use of information and technology regardless of medium, to all users. The library is committed to instruct patrons in critical skills related to research and promote information and technology literacy as well as lifelong learning.
